holidaybunny's Journal, 03 May 2016

I burned nearly a thousand calories more than I ate (according to fitbit) but didn't lose anything! that's so bizzare. and I made sure to drink fluids before bed. Only thing I can think of is that I didn't get enough sleep. I don't know, but I'll continue to try to stay good in hopes of cracking it.
151.2 lb Lost so far: 14.8 lb.    Still to go: 26.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

not going up is a victory in itself!

Most times you won't see it the next day. Give it a couple of days.

I agree with Vikea01; the same also seems to be true for me if I go out of bounds: the next day doesn't show any gain, but often the one after that.

I agree with Vikea01 and Trackin64. Also make sure you take in enough fluids throughout the day -- dehydration does not help you lose weight!

Here's a great NYT article that explains how our metabolism drops when we experience weight loss. It may explain why its getting tougher to burn fat. http://nyti.ms/1O9wvTd

You will see the loss in the next couple days. :)

Everything I read says that you need to cut the calorie maintenance requirement of your body by 3500 calories to give you the equivalent to a 1 pound loss. (Did I say that right?) That is provided you intake the appropriate amount of water required because if you don't your body will start to store water. I am not a doctor but I played one in grade school. I am just saying what I've read and it does work for me. OK, I tried several times to give you a link to a couple of article, I don't understand why I have such a hard time on this site using html codes but it doesn't work. Maybe if I just write it out www.livestrong.com/article/422425-if-i-want-to-lose-2-pounds-each-week-how-many-calories-should-i-have-every-day it will work, but this is the last time I am trying - lol.

One of the best pieces of advice I've seen is that weightloss isn't linear. What you do on Monday won't always show up on Tuesday. Keep creating habits and trust the process ;-)
