Asarver's Journal, 28 March 2016

Hey buddies,

A little disappointed this week. Absolutely no budging on the scale. I think I actually had a mini break down about it (combined with stress from work and TOM being right around the corner). Speaking of TOM, I'm blaming him for the lack of budge in the scale. Hopefully my April 1 weigh in will look better. But either way, this month was a good month.

I DID manage to run 5 times this week! Pretty proud of myself. On top of that, I was able to run 2.5 miles without stopping (which I don't think I've done in like 6 months). My average pace was 10:20 / mile, so I feel awesome. I was only able to play volleyball once last week, so I'm a little bummed about it. I was halfway there yesterday and the sky just ripped loose.

I hope you all are doing well! May this week be a better week!

sorry to hear that! Maybe you could find a gym with one of those never-ending pools you could run in! It's supposed to be better for your joints I think :)

You're making great progress! I love how you laid out the mini goals and you're tracking your progress to them. Keep up the good work! A friend of mine (a motivational speaker) recommends a mantra for the ultimate goal -- for me it's "I feel great at 178." It's a positive image of your accomplishment in the future that you can repeat to yourself regularly. For me it helps my focus. I don't think it's necessary, but my friend is very successful at hitting goals.

You are doing amazing Asarver, anyone that can run 2.5 miles without stopping is in good shape, no matter what the scale says. You are rocking this.
