135 weigh in after getting too high this week. I'm happy it is back down and I am shooting to get back to 134 quickly. It felt a little out of control for a bit there.

I have some exciting fitness news! I am planning to sign up for a 15K race that is coming up in only 2 weeks. It's called the "Hot Chocolate" race downtown Chicago. There is a 5K and a 15K. It's sponsored by Hersheys so there is fun chocolate logo apparel and goody bags and a hot chocolate and chocolate after party. This is 9 miles to run. I have gone to 7 before, but I know I can do it. What's 2 more miles for a race day, right?! I still have to sign up but I plan to do this with my workout partner so we can run together. I'll let you know when I officially sign up.
The only 3 hesitations I have are:
1. If it will be too cold. My lungs really can't handle too cold with my asthma and I don't want to run in cold rainy weather.
2. My foot is swelling up some b/c of an arch problem I have. This may mean I need new shoes again. My New Balance shoes have solved this problem for me in the past.
3. I worry about if I have to go to the bathroom where I will go. I know that is silly sounding, but it's a little phobia thing I have. I'm sure there will be portapotties around so I need to get this worry out of my mind! I cannot tell you how much that controls what I do sometimes!

So, there you have it. I'll let you know when I sign up but I am up for the challenge of it and it is a great way to wrap up this fun and exciting year of new challenges!

135.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 1.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Holy Moly woman, you are so determined to beat these things! Go you, do it!!! OF course get thru your issues first. I don't think you ever mentioned asthma stopping you before but yes cold can be harder on your lungs. Research it see if there is a remedy to breath in warm air heehe i dunno just thinking. You are amazing though, you have proven you can do ANYTHING you set YOUR mind to. Thanks buddy, for your inspiration

What a great goal! Herseys! Sounds like lots of fun! Where there's a will there's a way! The thought never came across my mind that I might need to pee during a race! That's so true. Cant wait for your race pics. Good luck!
