YAY!!! Good Morning FS Warriors! Another good drop, but then we knew it was gonna be because of the Docs weigh-in on Tuesday, but this time it was with light weight jammies and no shoes! LOL! After contemplating fiber, I bought some Chia seeds and have had a tbsp of them soaked each day for the past two days during my fast, between those and my new magnesium powder I put in my electrolyte mix, I got a very gentle non cramping digestive cleanout. I usually do not have a large BM during my fasts, but I guess a little bulk behind it pushes it out...I know TMI, but good digestive operation is important! So, I am going with more natural types of supplements for fiber and apparently it's something I need to add on my fasting days also. I am sleeping well and waking up alert, this morning alert and chill-bumpy. It's 35 degrees! Brrrr. Should make for a brisk walk, little dogs won't be going today, they hate the cold, even wearing sweaters. So me and the big guys will be heading off shortly. Ya'll have a great day!

congrats on the drop, you are doing great and you inspire me so much to try and do things I may be able to incorporate into my woe, I've been fasting about 14hrs although some days I only make it 12 most days is 14 and I want to get to the point where I can fast a couple days like you and many other people do. There's alot of you ladies and men that are helping me and others out more than you know... so happy for you.. I think I am going through menopause and my hormones are out of wack I didn't sleep well last night so I weighed in the same but last couple days I had been sleeping better and was dropping weight. oh what kind of furbaby do you have. I love small dogs like Chihuahua and rat terrier, Boston terrier, poodles..

Thanks for the support guys! @Sara honey if you are still taking those injections, I would not advise you to go over 20 hours on a fast. Those injections work by amping up your insulin to clear out the extra glucose in your bloodstream. If you don't add glucose for an extended period of time, the amped up insulin will simply clear out all of your glucose and you could have a severe drop in your blood sugar level and pass out from Hypoglycemia. It's a very real thing, that is why diabetics who take insulin shots daily have to be medically monitored when attempting to fast, because the balance of glucose to insulin changes and the medication has to be adjusted. I am currently taking off on a nutrition tangent here so there may be a slowdown in my weight-loss, I'm still going to be fasting, but I am tracking my nutrition and filling in the nutritional gaps with food and supplements. I am doing my best to reach 2000 calories a day on my eating days, with my focus still on about 60% Healthy Fats, 30% Protein and 10% carbs, or something reasonably close to that. While I was reading about different fiber supplements, I read that ground flaxseeds have compounds that tend to mimic estrogen, which is the hormone that becomes in short supply during menopause. You never know, adding a tablespoon or two per day might improve your symptoms. I have been using a tablespoon of chia and a tablespoon of flax seeds for 4 days now and I have observed less interest in snacking, I don't snack on my eating days, but the urge to do so was still there, it seems diminished, especially in the evenings. The two days I used them while fasting, well, the hunger growels that usually accompany my cooking for my hubby went away. I don't eat bread anymore, but I love it...and oddly enough, when I take it out of the loaf for hubby, I don't even have the urge to sniff it. It could be a placebo effect for me, but whatever it is, I will take it because it makes my eating days less stressful, while I try not to undo all the work I did while fasting.

oh, and my small dogs are all Chi, Chi-mixes. I have a Rat-Chi (Rat Terrier-Chihuahua), a Chi-Weenie (Datsun-Chihuahua) and one purebred Chi that belonged to my mother, Baby Girl is the Elderly one of the bunch, currently at 15 years and she suffers from congestive heart failure, my Rat-Chi Bella has epilepsy, she's 8 and Iris is my protective shadow, the Chi-Weenie with three inch legs and 5 inch teeth, she is 10 and according to her, it's her job to keep all other dogs and people away from me LOL.
