Good morning! Two meals yesterday and no 💩! I also ate some almonds which usually slow that particular bodily function down so I took a stool softener this morning to ease the passing. It was my first full day home after my recent restart so it was more of a struggle than my working days. I rode my bike this morning, did my yoga stretches and did a few bodyweight squats, little by little adding things back in. It's weird but since the ravenous hunger stopped and I eliminated bread and sugar again, I don't seem to be very hungry for the food I am eating, if that makes any sense at all. Now if I put that pork loin last night in a big hoagie bun with a side of potato salad it would be lip smacking good...I guess my mental shift is lagging behind my diet shift and I am still looking at things from a comfort food perspective. This coming week I plan to attempt my usual 3 day fast starting on Thursday. I'm not expecting perfection, but I will do it for as long as I can. Gotta start somewhere and I think that getting at least 24 hours will allow my mind to make that shift so I can get back to where I was both mentally and physically. My meditations took a hit too during my illness and I restarted daily ones last Thursday and I have to say, not only is my mental noise quieter but my self love is improved as is my sleep. Our physical health and recovery from an illness or injury relies as much on our brain as our body. Meditation does something to me that I can't really explain, but it fills me with joy and the joy expands into my body, I can feel it for hours after my sessions. Setting intentions and goals for the day. Today I will focus on self love and healing for my body. Thank you body for everything you do for me! For today I am fasting again till dinner. great job I been doing 16/8 fasting one of these days I'll make it longer baby steps but I'm sure you will have no prob get back to where you were..
