Rebound, not as bad as expected, but I did keep my carbs at 11%. Feeling a little sluggish. Missing the hyper alertness of fasting. I slept well, only one potty break in the night. I am very satisfied with the results of my fast and I'm looking forward to my next 84 hour that starts Wednesday night. Fast on!!

Thanks Zen! I've got a bunch of errands to run this morning so my morning workout was just the bike. I'm skipping the socks today too. It's too hot for all of those layers today. Gonna wear some capri's and give that leg some sun. I still have not approached it with a razor, afraid I will nick it and cause problems....so folks beware, the one hairy leg lady is approaching...avert your eyes! LOLOLOL. Have a great day Zen!

Typical rebound, right? I'll be fasting my 84h starting Tuesday evening.

Thanks, deb! Good idea letting the sun hit it, Deb. THW people! 😌

Yeah, LadyD, seems to be for me. My first big rebound was due to the fresh fruit I had sitting around here, now it's all put up in the freezer and we skipped the melons on our shopping trip, it's easier not to spike the carbs that cause the huge water gains.

I plan to have fruit, but mainly berries and in small portions because even those tend to slow down my progress. Fresh stuff out of your own yard is just so hard to resist. You know it's safe to just bite into when you pick it, no pesticides, no waxes or dyes, organic all the way!

Wow! You can do fasting like that so soon?

Yeah, I got lots of surplus food to spend, I don't need resting days between fasts. I just like to eat and if I don't fast.....I will continue to eat. It keeps me in control of my food and not my food controlling me. The math thing Erika was talking about the other day - I have 521,500 calories at my disposal, I'm not starving myself when I don't eat. I'm just eating my own fat.

The plan is, for the next month or two. My normal fasting is 12/12 daily, no food between 7pm and 7 am. Then on Wednesday evening after dinner at 7 I start a 3 day fast, with the 12/12 nightly, three days adds up to 84 hours, for total fasting hours that week = 120. One week out of the month, I am going to do a 5 or 7 day fast, depending on how I feel and what kind of progress I make. It's very freeing to be out from under the yoke of constant eating. Healing for the body and soul. It's improved my relationship with food and my appreciation for it. We take it for granted usually. That is why the folks across the pond label us Americans as fat, because this country is a 24/7 exercise in gluttony. I'm saving a ton of money on groceries right now. I have a grocery budget and if I spend under it I toss the remainder in my new wardrobe fund 😁😁😁

You mean your transitional clothing fund. How many sizes will we go through on the way to goal - including undergarments, outerwear, and shoes? Yes, I'm not fasting today, so naturally, I am finding things to worry about 🤣

That's where the Salvation Army comes in - when you know you won't be in that size for long. Or in my case you can just cycle up and down within the same 20 lbs for two years. Oy! I'm hoping to grow smaller this time!

or if you like me you just wear everything and spandex and it shrinks and grows with no matter what size you are so I'm going to save my money until I'm ready to buy new clothes I have all my clothes still here that I wore whenever I was 180 so undergarments bras all that good stuff I got plenty I can use what I got after I hit 180 well then I got to buy a new clothes

as to shoes my feet don't change sizes as I lose and gain weight it's strange but they don't
17 Jul 23 by member: debrafrederick
I got big feet I've been wearing a size 10 women's since I was 16 they've never changed
17 Jul 23 by member: debrafrederick
My feet are wider. Also, I can't wear heels right now. I want to wear them again one day.

Do either of you superwomen have any "tricks "you use to shut your urge to eat down? IE hypnotherapy? MEditation?
17 Jul 23 by member: tjvoigts
No. It's strictly hormonal. They've measured levels of the hunger hormone gherlin throughout 84h fasts. It peaks around lunch time, then goes down and peaks again around dinner. After you get through the first two days, you are feeding off your fat and don't feel hungry anymore (gherlin stays low). You can still be "triggered" by smells, visual images, boredom and emotions and have cravings, which is different than hunger. That's what FS is for. I post about my hard times and people come by with "you can do it!" Honestly, fasting is pretty easy.

Lady im with you. I kept buying smaller clothes that would have to be replaced every 15ish pounds which was so dumb. Even tho i planned to get back to 145 i think in the back of my mind I wasn’t so sure so kept buying clothes. Hubs was just happy when i hit 170. He said i looked fine and could stop there but by then i knew i could get back to my old weight. I should have just belted in my dresses that were too big, etc. clothes are so speedy. My feet also go down 1/2 size when im healthy so now all my pretty shoes slip off. Lady, you will absolutely wear heels again if you want to. Nothing makes a girl feel prettier (other than jewelry, makeup, clothes and compliments)😂
