Read your comment about butterfly's on Lonnie's post: We do moths! we have 2 geckos and a tarantula and we feed them tomato hornworms. When they get to big for the geckos to eat, we keep feeding them tops of strawberries, lettuce, kale 🥬 and dandelion greens from the yard. They burrow in the dirt and transform into moths!! We are waiting for 8 to appear.  

wow, thats so cool! I raise Monarchs, released almost 100 last year, and give chrysalides to a few teachers i know, so they can educate their students. Maybe one day lll do more with education. I try to focus on/encourage native gardening, too.  

That's amazing 🤩 where do you order the caterpillars from??? 

AJ, my MIL is in central Illinois and its getting bad there too. My dad is in Richmond VA and its clear now 2 weeks later, so it's making it's way west I guess? Keeping kids cooped up in house is tough.... If you got extra flour, salt, oil and water on hand you can make a batch of homemade clay. Search "the spruce crafts flour clay" they oven dried their creations and painted them a few days later.  

DAZEY- I dont. i plant native, so i collect eggs from my yard. its the only way id recommend doing it. ordering them is inhumane, if you ask me. Monarchs are borderline endangered. yhere should be no such services but there is.... its sad.  

aj good luck, thats rough. i could never stay cooped up inside. how many toxins do we put into our bodies in other ways, on a daily basis? 

Crazy smoke! Not to bad up to Rochester NY this week but coming back through Ohio yesterday was visibility 1 mile. Nothing compared to actually smoking cigarettes though…. Let them chillin’s outside ! ✌️

Sarris is an amazing place! My daughter lives in Morgantown and her BF is in Pittsburgh so she goes up every other week. I went with her once years ago and we stopped at Sarris. I was impressed that Perry Como and Bobby Vinton were from Canonsburg. When I was in the second grade my older sister, who was only 13 months older than me but in the fourth grade because her birthday fell before October 15 and mine after, repeated a tall tale for Show and Tell that Daddy had told about Perry Como. Her teacher was a peer of his and knew how he was. 😊 He said that Perry Como gave him a blank check once and told him he could fill in whatever amount it took to keep him from competing with him in his singing career. I was only in the second grade and I knew it was BS, too! 🤣 

Adams county? There’s a really nice State park there. Definitely some Hills 

Janie kaylin is a young human do you think she knows who Perry como and Bobby Vinton are😂. Kaylin do you? That is the definition of we are olllllllldddddd girls Janie💕. Remember when we had to walk uphill both ways to go to school😂 

YOH, there are signs there bragging about it. I know she is too young to know about them but I’m sure she’s seen the signs. They are proud of them in Canonsburg! I think they have a statue of Perry! 😊
