Well, I wish I could report that this loss is due to good eating habits, exercise and a good health program.

Atlas! It's not the case. lol

Fact is, I've been really sick with the flu for the last week. This coupled with boredom in food choices, lack of imagination in preparation and general laziness provided this result.

Oddly enough, my previous job had me visit foreclosed houses on the Island of Montreal on a weekly basis. And let me tell you, I've seen houses which the interior was burnt, some where there was an inch of ice on the walls, some where there were entire rooms covered with black mold, some with 6 inches of water in all the basement, some which were occupied by hoarders, squatters, very dirty people where I couldn't go in the smell was so bad. I think I've seen it all. Anyway, my point being that while I was doing this for 6 years, rarely did I come down with the flu or anything.

Now, I work from home at my desk, rarely go out, rarely see anyone and have over a friend with the flu with a very light cough and bang, the next day my throat tickles.

Which confirms what I always thought. Exposure to different environments, though not clean, kept me healthy and with a good immune system. People who oversanitize are asking for problems. I think a lot of kids' allergies are from parents who can't stand a little dirt on the hands of their little ones. Everything, in moderation! Even cleanliness!

And that's just my HO.
155.5 lb Lost so far: 23.5 lb.    Still to go: 16.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Being sick is obviously terrible, but at least you are getting a decent dose of weight loss as a result - "silver linings" and all that positive thinking stuff. You will get over the flu and the weight will be gone. Food will taste better again. Get well.
