Dear Scale,
Okay Scale enough is enough. I thought weighing myself twice a week would make me saner. I was wrong. I know I am working this diet and this week I even incorporated exercise. I know I am doing the right things. But you Scale you stupid Scale continue to be the bane of my existence.
So, I've decided to reduce my weigh-ins to once a month; the beginning of every month. I know that not stepping on you will be more difficult than not eating sugar and getting motivated to exercise. I find myself constantly seeking your approval and it will be difficult to change that behavior. I realize that I have let you dictate to me my moods, and my feelings about my body. Well, no more. You are just a machine and just one of many ways to measure my progress. So go suck an egg, Scale! I will no longer allow you to make me feel unworthy, hopeless or alone. Just suck it.
