Kate Freckles's Journal, 22 April 2021

Weight hasn’t moved this morning if not 50g heavier. I really need to force myself to not weight myself everyday. It’s just hard as it’s right there and part of my morning routine. Being stuck at a weight after drinking water, eating protein, doing hiit and changing workout, sticking to my macros feels disheartening but I need to keep going it’ll all make a change in the end.

Your body is changing Kate. Probably you don’t notice but I challenge you to go in front of the mirror and have a look at yourself. Surely your body is looking more toned! I don’t do this much but I looked at the mirror just 15min ago and gosh I am starting to get reasons to get my confidence back! I do weigh ins every day some weeks but I only record it when I lose weight. I know I am eating clean and exercising so why would I add weight here? I am so right by doing this because I go in the scales next day and that is gone or I even drop weight. Try those outfits on and see what you accomplished so far and how close you are to your goal ! 😜

Let me give you one example how this weigh ins can mess up with your brain: so my weight hasn’t moved for 4 days, then my period starts yesterday and I dropped 200g yesterday and today 🤣 How weird !

Hi Kate, that's great advice from pcrav1992👍🏽. Also are you getting enough sleep, and how are your stress levels? Wishing you a blessed day, that drop is coming 🙏🏽💗

Weight isnt always the marker of progress. Sometimes you can loose in size "remaining same weight" due to number of reasons. So, I'm trying to not focus on weight and measurements all the time... Decreases the stress levels too. Also, noticed one thing -if I keep loosing weight all the time...my body has a period (a week or so) when it just stops no matter how much I work out or so. The body controls your weight loss through slowing down metabolism-as its fearing for your safety. That moment I'm trying to add up some fiber and protein into my meals to help regulate slowed down metabolism. Hope that helps & chin up -you are doing great ♡ xx

Thanks you guys and Pcrav is always right ! 😂 girl you always know exactly what to say ! You’re all right. I’m an avid sleeper haha don’t worry about that 😅 put me in front of a movie at 9 and I’m gone for the next 9hours ! I am positive ! I’m just trying to do this whole thing right you know so sometimes it takes a toll a little on mental health.

My dear, I sleep 8 h in two days if I am lucky 🤣 I somehow have to have a positive speech even to myself to avoid having a mental breakdown. So less talk and more squats 😁😜

Stress can make you put on weight. If you're too stressed out about seeing the drop it isn't going to help unfortunately. Sometimes easier said then done. But relax and weigh just 1 time a week say monday morning when you get up after you've been the loo before you eat.
