Its so interesting, I changed my macros, upped my calories and protein and seems to be what my body likes

What adjustments did you do if you don't mind me asking? I'm losing so slowly on keto..

I started off eating 1800cal with keto and lost very nicely in the beginning. Then, cos I wasnt hungry I dropped the snacks and protein and cal down to between 1450-1600 (with 18:6 IMF) but was mostly around 1500 and weight loss stalled. Upped calories now to about 1640 (125g fat, 25g total carbs and 105g protein) and seems to have jolted things along.

Sorry its 1645cals with that breakdown. I am 175cm and also recently started exercising so I reckon I just needed more nutrients and fuel.

This entire journey has been trial and error for me and feeling my way. I have an appointment with a dietician next week just for some guidance. I always thought weight loss was about punishment and starving. It really is about self love and nurturing

Really appreciating all the advice. I tend to lose so slowly with keto apart from the first week with the big water drop loss and I struggle with constipation as well. I'm quite short... 1.57 so calories not as high as yours. Around 1000 to 1200..sometimes 900. Started at 64 kgs. Now at 58.5 kg. Goal 52 kg.

Lessthan15 try magnesium supplements -with keto it makes a huge difference to not experience constipation ☘️

Could be the constipation that makes it seem like you arent losing. I find ghee or butter in black rooibos tea helps with that, while at the same time increases my fat intake nicely. There is nothing wrong with slower progress though, at all.

Taryn you might enjoy this study. I’m not sure how to get to 50-60% protein (I tried to map a possible outline but it was SO hard) but it was what got me aiming for higher protein than the traditional 20% of keto.
