Well, at least I'm not gaining a ton of weight. I feel like Seinfeld in the episode of Even Steven. I seriously don't think that starving myself is the answer, not at my age. I'm too prone to not care. But I do want to lose weight, so I'm trying not to have breakfast. Intermittent fasting. Does that count?? I don't think it's going to work. Sure works well for my son. He's lost the 40 pounds that I've gained in the last year. It's the weekend, and I try not to worry about weight loss over the weekend.

As we age, being overweight increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and diabetes. I'm like you in that I'm more interested in good health and fitness rather than how I look. However, since we're on the subject I think I look pretty darned good, but that's another story. Take it at your pace and do it your way. Good luck.

I find slow and steady is best and most sustainable approach. Cutting too much makes you want to quit! A little over time is better than nothing. Unless you need to get it off fast because of health risks. But then, I'd go with what your doctor recommends!
