I've been doing great. I switched to a diet of pocky, beer, and fried-peanut-butter-and-banana sandwiches and lost two pounds. I've found the secret fat burning foods!

Okay, not really.

I've made the (insane?) decision to not buy any more food until I've eaten everything in the pantry, fridge, and freezer. I'm really bad about buying things and letting them sit in the pantry forever, so I'm trying to stop that behavior now. A huge plus, I won't have to spend any money on groceries for a month or two with the exceptions of a few essentials (bread, etc.). This has led me to some interesting meals.

To offset this, I've started working out like a maniac. I bought a pull up bar, which was dumb because... I can't do more than one pull up. I've started doing negative repetitions with pull ups until I can build enough strength to lift my big a** (or chin) over the bar at least a couple times. Side note: Want washboard abs? Do pull ups. My core hasn't been this sore in years. Your whole body has to be tight when you're doing pull ups and your abs have to pick up the slack. Ouch.

Oh, and I watched Zack and Miri yesterday. Not for the feint of heart, but the funniest movie I've seen in a long, long time.

I was thinking on getting a pull-up bar. Did you get the one that you can place on the door? Do they work well. Can't remember the name. Good job getting some mad workout in bro.

I ended up getting the Iron Gym one because it was on sale for $20 (at an electronics store of all places). It's probably not the greatest bar in the world, but you don't have to screw it into your door frame (a plus) and it works. There are a few YouTube reviews of the product that I recommend watching if you're thinking of buying one. There's also a video titled "F the Iron Gym" that shows just how important the little safety pin is. LOL I was a little paranoid about it falling off the door, but after a week of use I'm more comfortable with it. As long as you control your movements it isn't a problem.

Oh, and you need to make sure the bolts are secure. The "wrench" that comes with it can get stripped, so you might need a 10mm (socket) wrench. Thankfully I didn't need it, but it was brought up in one of the reviews.

Cool, thanks, I'll check on it.

I love pocky! Your diet sounds great. ;) I'm a little jealous. You think YOU can't do a pull up? Hahahaha. I wouldn't even attempt a pull up and risk embarassing myself like that.

Pocky is the king of low calorie desserts! I think I'll be glad when the "diet" is over so I won't have to kill myself working out to compensate for it. LOL

Hahaha. Yes. And it's so tasty. Although, I have to admit... the sugar free Jell-O pudding is really reallllly gooooood. Especially the dulce de leche kind. Oooh. Pocky DIPPED in sugar free pudding... Jackpot.
