fatbgone2's Journal, 19 January 2009

I just joined weight watchers "officially" today and my weight on their scale was a bit different than the one on my home scale. So, it's like starting from scratch and I couldn't figure out a way to reset my starting weight. Oh well. I need this so bad. Yesterday we had our last christmas party of the season and trying to find an outfit to wear from the clothes that I have that were all a little snug put me in a non-christmas party mood before even leaving the house. (Think muffin top overflowing from the cute jeans) SO...I had to finally do something about it. I need to make myself happy and that is my number one goal right now. I dont know what I want as my weight goal because I wont know until I start thinking to myself that I look and feel good.

Hello Fatbgone... just an FYI, I own a WW scale at home and it is not accurate to the meeting scale or even other scales like at our office (medical old type of scale) or friends'. I do my best to stick to the meeting scale only as my measure. You might want to skip out on weigh in's at home, especially if you're going to meetings regularly. I weighed myself on my scale the same day as my mtg to get an idea of how much it was off, but sometimes it's better to just leave it be. Don't get too down on yourself. You're here, you're starting, this is the future and you're laying your foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Best of luck.

My WW home scale is the most accurate home scale I've had. Meeting scale is great of course but at home you can weigh in w/out clothing and at meetings, you're wearing clothes which do add on. You'd have to weigh in with the exact same clothing and the exact time of day to accurately compare the two scales. Hmmm, maybe I should bring my home scale to the WW meeting! lol boy we do get obsessed!! hehe
