Too much Protein???? & Calories yesterday. No big deal as I participated in an Engine & Endurance routine this morning & burned a good 800+ Cals. Making room for my Standard Consumption!!!

168.2 lb Lost so far: 24.8 lb.    Still to go: 0.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You are such an amazing athlete. Great job, super impressive. Also, can too much protein stall weight loss even if you’re staying within your RDA?

The body can only absorb 30g of protein per meal. We need to spread the amounts over the day. If you stay below your calories, you will lose the weight. I am burning a lot of calories due to my exercise routine, so eating around 2500 a day is burned efficiently. For me to lose weight, I usually reduce the amount to 1800.

Ahh, I did not know that!! What happens to the leftover protein if you eat extra grams in one sitting? I’ve been having three meals per day with a goal of 115g of protein, so you just made me realize that I need to split that into 4-5 meals. Thank you for this very useful info!

Unfortunately, a portion of the excess is stored as fat. The remaining is released as urine. If you are healthy, you can handle the excess. Once you break it up throughout the day, you shouldn’t have to many issues.
