Yuck Yuck Yuck!

I feel horrible today.

Last night, my wife and I went out to celebrate that she had her last day at her shitty job, and that she is ready to move on to a much better job starting Monday.

She would like Chinese food, and of course we went. Same day, I had some bad news, and ended up from doing great food choices to just deciding to let it all slide for one night.

This is a BAD way to let things slide.

I did make some GOOD choices. Only water to drink. No soda or beer. And I could only eat a plate and a half of food, where I normally would be getting three. So all in all probably a better deal than it would have been a month ago.

However: Today I feel terrible. I feel like my internal engine is at a halt, I feel bloated, fat and discusted with myself. I gaine a WHOLE FRICKIN' KILO! That is TWO FRICKIN' POUNDS and then some!

Well, if nothing else, this taught me a lesson, and I will today do my best to get rid of that kilo again. ONLY good choices from here on out - as much as I within reason will be able to.

I am on a mission, and I will not stop.

Life IS good.

PS: Congratulations to my gorgeous wife on the new job. I can not wait to see you at work every day. :) I love you.

you did not do that bad. You were only 500 calories above your RDI. I am sure it is just water weight you gained. A lb is 3500 calories so there is no way you gained 2 just from the dinner you had. Should come rite off. That happened to me the other day . Gained 4 lbs but I am gained muscle so I was not worried about it. I have been allowing myself one day a week to eat things I normally would not. Yesterday I had a BIG Recees Peanut butter cut and a double cheeseburger. Didn't gain anything though.

That darn Chinese food is loaded with sodium and msg so water is probably hanging on, takes a couple of days to get rid of that, drink tons of water and some green tea to purge it out. You should see a drop once that is gone. The food itself didn't do it to ya.

Serious weight loss, like those of us in this group are attempting, is a journey not a short trip. As with any journey, we will, at times run into detours. The secret is to keep moving in the right direction and to get back on the right course as soon as possible. Attitude is everything. It is the "O.K. I ate poorly for a day...time to get back on track" attitude that will win in the end. Those who fail, I find, have the "I ate poorly for a day...so I might as well quit". Keep up the good fight, you're doing great.

Oh, I will not quit. I just hate when I "screw up" well knowing that it really wasn't necessary. Oh well... I am sure as you guys said it is only water. I'll survive. :)
