No change in weight, not surprised.... Work is so stressful. I worked my entire life loving my job, company after 20 plus years changed the dynamics and all staff were eliminated. I find a great job, with a great company and relocate away from my family and friends. I knew there were challenges when they hired me, I am a Corporate Payroll Manager. This team is a bunch of bullies, mean girls. 3 of the team members applied for my position prior to them hiring me, they have been so rude and disrespectful on a daily. I can't help they were not qualified and the company hired me.
In the past if everything in my world was upside down, I always had my job I loved, staff that was amazing and would do anything as we were a family.
I hate my job every day now, I cry on my way home, weekends. I try to not let them bother me but the company needs change and hired me to do that. How can I if all I hear is; I don't get paid enough, that's not in my job description or that's above my pay grade...
I brought concerns to my manager about the team, he talked with HR and now he wants to talk with my team to see how everything is going and how the changes I have made are going. How did this turn back on my Management skills?
What do you think these people will say, they are fighting me every step of the way..
The team had no structure, never held accountable. They asked me to change allot of things with how the team communicates, etc. Making my the bad guy, they didn't like how the last Manager had a hands off approach.
This company is paying me allot of money, I don't know if I can keep doing this every day.
Any advice?

My mom works in a job like that. They always keep turning it back onto her, or blaming her, or having her work more hours than everyone else. She's supposed to be working 10 hour shifts, but they have her work 12 to 16 hour shifts and force her to stay for meetings as well. I don't know what to say as far as advice... I'll tell you what I told my mom though- I wish my mom would leave so she wouldn't be so miserable and beaten- even if it is for a job that pays less. I'll tell you what she does though; You're not the bad guy. They are. They're jealous and they fight dirty and you will always be the escape goat to them. Everything is your fault to them. You aren't apart of their world. You're an intruder... what my mom does is she doesn't take their shit and calls them out on everything they do to their faces whether they like it or not. She'll write them up if she has to. She'll defend herself if she has to. She defends them when she sees a situation where there needs to be interference. She treats everyone with respect and treats them fairly- even if they treat her like garbage. She's won over everyone in a year that work under her, but the other supervisors still treat her like rolled over shit. She'll keep fighting them though. I hope you can fight too and be strong. Don't cry over people who don't deserve your tears. Tears of frustration or sadness- don't give them the satisfaction. I like killing people with kindness and sarcasm. Be well. Stay strong. Play fair and don't stoop to their level of dirty.
