Life is great on my end! Im eating corn on the cob again! And the scales are tipping down in my favor despite the corn! Yesterday I ate: toast and egg for breakfast, a banana shake with almond milk, pulled pork with bbq sauce, an ear of corn, a salad with carrots, feta cheese, and salsa, and chocolate espresso beans, and pickles :)

I spent 2006-2007 losing a little over 40 pounds eating 800 calories/day, the cabbage soup diet, Weight Watchers Wendi-style, atkins induction, and more cabbage soup diet haha! Since early this year, I resolved to pick up on atkins again, but as usual, I failed the plan. I have tried about 6 attempts to get back on..but I am weak, I suppose.

I guess Im doing Wendie-style Weight Watchers now, but Im using calorie shifting instead..keeping the calories low like with WW. Today is my 1200 calorie day, since I dont work tonight.. I will do my utmost not to eat after 6pm!

Its easier when Im at work in the evening. They had brownies at work last night. I knew better..and grabbed a fresh cup of coffee instead. Thoughts trigger emotions..so if I didnt THINK of the brownies, then I didnt become emotionally linked to them..wanting them!

Anyhow, I work in the recovery room, and its FREEZING in there! So a hot cup of joe is just the thing to get my heart pumping and temperature elevated!
128.4 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 3.4 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

If I even smelled corn on the cob I'd gain 5lbs!! Great job getting it all figured out Shannon!!

I wont say I have figured it out til Im down to 125 :) Then Ill know Im on to something! Oh.my cob is ready! I nuked it in the husk for 1.5 minutes. Its so much quicker than boiling it..and its very juicy and tasty!

dang! I didn't know you've lost so much weight in the past! You've overcome quite a bit of difficult challenges with that, so I'm sure the only ingredient missing in your latest dieting attempts, is willpower...simply a desire to get/have what you want! You can do it! You sound like you're thoroughly enjoying your new way of eating! MBH and I are trying to compete with each other over the fewest carbs consumed in a week...If you change your mind, come hang out with us! We're always duking it out...but it's for sheer FUNSIES!

I hope this plan will work for you! I need to start counting and zig zagging again. But it will probably be after I get home. Just don't have the energy and time here. Good job avoiding the brownies. I was craving brownies the other night; luckily there weren't any around!
