Day 5..Feel pretty darn good. I didnt lose weight today though..funny I was strict yesterday..so strict I only drank the coffee and ate the nuts doused in coconut oil; I wanted to compenstate for Wednesday's 1600 calories I ate. I think Ill finish this up tonight and do a healthy induction over the weekend. Next Mon-Fri I may consider doing the fast again. This is because soon I wont be working eves Mon-Fri...and I know by being at home, I will overeat on the fast. SO, Ill take advantage of my time while I still have it!

Its funny how the coconut oil got things moving on Day 1..but no longer has that effect on me. I feel like I should be losing more weight.. like the supposed 0.9 pounds/day I heard can be acheived on a fat fast. Im going to drink crazy amounts of water today..100 oz at least. If I have a huge amount of ketones floating around, then Ill flush them out!

Im rather nutso about weighing before I go to bed and when I rise in the morning. Usually Im good for losing a pound ..sometimes a bit more. Last night, however, I only lost 1/2 pound leading me to believe I need to drink more.
So today will be more fast, more water, and keeping up on the vitamins and oil.

Im not a success story on this fast; I have read others' journals on other sites where they would lose 8 pounds/week on this..and proceed to cycle between OWL and FF until they lost their weight. Maybe its b/c they had more to lose? Im not sure...but I love the cycling idea and will do that myself..at least, that is my plan :)

Im just tickled that I have no cravings or desire to eat. The test will come in a week or two when TOM comes. Oh yeah, My energy is definitely still there!


128.2 lb Lost so far: 1.2 lb.    Still to go: 3.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

shannon keep at it.. sure your as light as a feather as it is... am sure that it gets harder the closer ya get to your goal.. Whats that you say.. no cravings to eat! Lots of energy! Permission to be mad jealous!!! Keep between the ditches *s*

Well, you've got your homework all cut out for you. DARN it bugs that people who have alot of weight to lose, lose faster! NOt Fair! :) How come you're not sick of the coconut oil or nuts? I noticed that I got really sick of the foods that I was allowed to eat. You're doing great. You may not think you've lost much, but then you don't have much to lose either!

Im SUPPOSED to be 110. So I have 18 pounds to lose! Thats a lot on a 5'2" frame! Im not sick of the coconut oil b/c I hide it in my coffee and eat it with my nuts. Its tasteless.

That will be the true test. Cycling sounds like a good idea. Like an Atkins Rotation Plan of sorts. Good luck over the weekend.
