barbieq13's Journal, 16 January 2019

Interesting how after 2 days of absolutely no alcohol, my I'm consuming under 1,000 calories per day and I'm not hungry. I've always known it's a dietary issue for me, but I enjoy a couple of drinks when I get home from work. But this just proves that it's not the numbers, it's the CONTENT. Hopefully, this will be the jump start I was looking for. Maybe after all this California rain stops, I'll try getting on my bike. That ought to help with my lack of energy. (lack of energy has been MONTHS, not since adjusting eating.)

Very Nice Loss!

Hi! I am a fellow low energy person. Always have been. I hate it but it is what it is. I did get checked by physicians over the years. Found I have sleep apnea and hypersomnia( long hours of sleep and it is unrefreshing). Also diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome. It stinks but at least I don't label myself lazy anymore. Took me years before I would go to a sleep specialist. Glad I did. 🌺

Barbie, have to agree with Chris. Going so low on calories is a disaster waiting to happen. I am living proof. Have been stalled at 147 since December. So, what did I do.... lowered my calories. Guess what, no loss. My body is holding on to the weight for dear life. I am returning to my previous higher calorie intake.

If you want I have a few pointers on not drinking. Take it or leave it with a good heart. If you are accustomed to having a few everyday it is going to feel strange and your body and mind are going to react to stopping. You may feel slow and sluggish, thinking and cognitive may be slow until you get accustomed to not drinking. Anxiety and some deppresion may creep in. To not crave liquor as much I used H.A.L.T. dont let self become to Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired. Those things lead to feelings of craving something. Be it a drink or overeating etc.etc. Tip is given with a thankful heart to those who taught me this tip. Good luck my friend🌺

The thing is, if I eat more, my stomach gets upset and I have shortness of breath. I agree it's not much, but it would be different if I was HUNGRY. As for the alcohol, yeah it's a habit to break. I already sleep better and wake up easier. Don't FALL asleep any easier, but it's a work in progress.
