What the #!%!&@# is going on?!! I went up a pound since yesterday again!! I am so frustrated! I have been losing and gaining the same pound for a month now. I am eating small portions and working out hard. Yesterday I burned 350 cal on the elliptical plus 30 min of weights, so I'm sure it's at least 500 cal. each time I'm at the gym which is 3 days a week, plus an extra walk or floor excercises in addition to that a day or two. I guess I am going to get back to really following the abs diet or I could count WW points but that usually annoys me. I guess I had better pick one and stick with it. I'm thinking I will try counting points again as I have lost that way in the past but fill the points with eating abs foods. Maybe a combo of the two? I don't know! I need something to get me past this highly annoying plateau, that is for sure.
147.0 lb Lost so far: 9.0 lb.    Still to go: 7.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.0 lb a week

Are you sure you're eating enough, Rachel? I've experienced this annoyance, and seen the same thing happen to some of my buddies, when I've had too big a calorie deficit. With all that exercise, you need to fuel your body, otherwise it might go into starvation mode, holding onto those prescious few calories! Also, have you tried zig-zagging your calories intake? Lotus introduced this to me a couple of months ago, and it seems to work a treat for lots of people, and it makes sense to me that you need to keep your boddy guessing! Just keep trying. There is always a reason. It's just not always easy to figure out what that reason is. Sometimes we have to play detective/scientist to work through these things. Don't give up. Something's gotta give!

Since everyone is unique, most of us can't use a cookie cutter way to lose weight. I've been doing the Abs Diet modified to count WW points, since I'm in a situation now where I have less control over where my food is from. It seems to be working pretty good for me, and I know when you find what works for you, it will be great!

weren't you stuck in that same plateau around 150 149???? then you had a great drop! maybe you are doing something that you didn't inbetween?? maybe that is the way your body does weight loss??? IDK!? just throwing out ideas, but i am sure it'll head back down again!

Thanks for your comments, girls. Cindy, you are right- I was stuck at that weight for about a month before then went back to the pound a week loss. I wonder if I was doing something differently. I am writing down WW points today. I have to figure out how many I am supposed to have again. I have all the materials from doing it last summer. I really don't like to do all the fuss of tracking the points, but it is a good way of tracking what is actually going in. I may have been having too many calories without realizing it even though my portions have been very small. The other thing I have noticed over the last few days is I'm unusually tired. I took a preg. test just in case and it was negative- not that I thought that it was that, but I also had a late and very short tom which was also weird. I will track the tiredness and if that continues, I may have my thyroid tested. If that happens to be low, then that could explain the weight loss resistance. We'll see how it goes- I'll keep pressing on and shooting for my 145 goal for this week. I hope you guys have a good weekend and Mother's Day.
