It stinks to report a gain from last week, but I guess I expected it. I think it is the week before my TOM which always makes me extra snacky. I have not been following the "eat consciously" part of the rules as much as I had been before. Food's been going in a little too quickly I think. I have also had more carbs with dinner than I was having, so thinking I should scale that back a bit more too as that is usually pretty helpful. The good news is I went shopping this past weekend and have been trying on size 8 pants and skirts and they have been fitting nicely! I'm not quite there for everything yet, but that really has been my goal size as I feel healthy and comfortable in that but feel like I can eat too and not starve myself. Of course if I can get lower than that, I will be thrilled, but that is my first goal. I am motivated to keep going forward and am happy with the progress I have made so far. I have really been stepping up my workouts and making sure I get a good sweat in when I am on the ellipitcal or doing something cardio. I think back to days when I would do aerobics and not even break a sweat. There were many activities I was doing but certainly not pushing myself hard enough.

In all these goals we have for ourselves I hope we do work hard, eat healthfully, consciously (slowly and pay attention) and listen to our bodies when we are full. But I hope we all don't let a bad day on the scale ruin our day! We want to keep moving forward but we are much more than a number on the scale. Let's be thankful we have strong healthy bodies and working arms and legs that we are able to be active. Hope you all have a great day!! Rachel

Nice sentiment at the end of your journal :) Congrats on fitting into the size 8's. It's always fun to have that extra reinforcement on top of the number on the scale. Recording a gain does suck; I recorded my gain last week - the first since I started in January. I hesitated as I was typing the number in. It didn't feel good at all. But afterward it felt good to come clean and be honest. I would have only been fooling myself! I am sure your gain will sort itself out into a loss in time for your next weigh in.
