I NEED HELP!

I'm having a hard time finding low-calorie, healthy snacks that are portable and dont really need to be refrigerated. I have to take at least one or two snacks to work every night and I have to eat them pretty discreetly, too.

Any suggestions?

If you're like me I get burned out on fruit, but I find adding peanut butter helps. Just not to much bc its high in fat content. I like the almond idea, I forget about those.

Nuts are definitely yummy and good for you. An interesting alternative (to mix things up) is roasted chickpeas. You still get a savory crunchy snack that is a good source of protein and fiber, but with fewer calories. http://www.recipezaar.com/Roasted-Garbanzo-Beans-or-Chick-Peas-331939 You can also snack on healthy cereal.

voortman has sugar free cookies, they are pretty good and usually one cookie (or two, lol) does it for me. if not, cut up some veggies and throw them in a ziplock bag & refirgerate the night before that way they'll keep cool throughout your work shift. also scoops of protein that you can shake up with water will keep you full and your metabolism up =) hope this helps!

Sorry, I tried to paste a link but it didn't work. You can just go to recipezaar and look up roasted chickpeas if you're interested.

I also like protein bars, or fiber bars i always get the ones that are around 100 calories.

watch those "protein bars and fiber bars" as they can be very high in carbs (sugar!).

Fruit, nuts, Kind bars (I love the Kind Plus myself), a protein shake (they have canned ones), almond milk (they make mini one serving take along ones in chocolate! yum!), trail mix (make your own with nuts and dried fruits). I also have stopped at McDonald's and gotten those fruit and nut salads when I am going somewhere and need a snack that will hold me for several hours. They have yogurt in them but a couple hours out of the fridge does not hurt them at all. I really like them!
