Good morning!

It's 6 AM and I am here with my coffee, waiting for 8 am for work.

I wanted to weigh in before I do my exercises, or get on the bike. I'm srill not sure which one I will do. I haven't been too good at doing the exercise DVD in the mornings, I have to admit. I get kinda bored with it. Then, as an alternative, I have the Kinect stuff, but it does require quite some jumping around, and I am pretty sure the lady in the apartment below me will not appreciate this at 6 AM. :)

I'll probably end up going for the bike. That's fine. I like it. I'll put on some TV or something and go for 30 minutes before work. That's manageable.

This afternoon I will go to the gym for my 90 minutes treadmill walk. Then, after, I will do another 30-40 minutes walking to the post office to pick up a package. Sure, I could then choose to do less at the gym, but then I wouldn't make it through a whole movie, would I? :D

Today's weigh-in was great. I am down to 79.1, 800 grams down from yesterday. My fat percentage is still very low - around the lowest that it's ever been - and that's usually a sign of more weight loss to come. Let's see what the next days will bring.

I slept SO bad last night. I drank WAY too much coffee last night, and this is affecting me much more than it used to be. Maybe because I am only half the size? That would make sense, if the caffeine kicks harder, if there is less body to absorb it. The same with alcohol, I suppose? Will I get more drunk from three beers than I used to?

Today I have a TOUGH meeting at work - and I am really not looking forward to it. It's a frustrating client, who really demands a lot of attention. It's one of those that we just gotta get through, and deal with.

Of course, not being able to sleep last night, my thoughts went to the interview. Not good. I need to sleep, not prepare work, at night.

Still, things are doing pretty good.

Band Creation with the kids yesterday was FUN. Our new guitarist brought a song that he's written, and we're learning it. The kids love to have some original material, and as our drummer was not present, I got to be the substitute drummer! It's always fun to do something else. I'm no wiz behind the drum kit, but I get by. I had a blast, and I think the kids did too.

Yesterday at work we were in a class all day. It was all DRY law stuff, but it was really something I needed. I got a LOT of things cleared up yesterday, and I loved it. I hope we get more of these classes.

Only thing was that during the class I got the craziest urge for chocolate. I knew with myself that I wanted it, and that I was gonna get it. So I switched my food choices around to accommodate it, and managed to squeeze in what I wanted without compromising my RDI. I'd say well done, except for eating TOO much chocolate! LOL! Still, didn't go over my RDI, though, so I am okay with it.

So, today and tonight is fully booked with work, exercise, and hopefully a tv-show or two with wife. Then, I'm sure, I will be BEAT and perfectly capable of sleeping tonight. :)

Today I am thankful for
- a package in the mail that I need to pick up. I wonder what's in it? I have several coming.
- coffee on mornings where I'm more tired than usual.
- having a job that makes a difference in my life and in others (even on days where it's a pain in the rear, like today)
- leaning new things

Have a great day, my friends! Life is good!

Oh, I hope your not a lawyer, so many good Lawyer jokes :-). Hehe. Anyways, glad your jam session went great, lots of good drummer jokes too! I will leave you alone, your useful to me (and others). Maybe that is why that whiskey affected me so much last weekend? or maybe I just drank too much. Lesson learned, I will not do that again (anytime soon). Good job on the chocolate and squeezing into your RDI. It is good we can have a little treat and still make RDI, without close tracking, I dont think that is possible.

I can definitely relate to having those nights when your brain just doesn't want to shut off and let you go to sleep!! Frustrating.. Better put a time limit on your caffeine.. None after 2 pm?? You'll figure it out. So happy for your great weigh-in! Nice work! Hopefully your whole body is getting back to normal.. Give the wife an extra hug before work and have a great day!

Generally, I don't drink coffee in the evenings, and if I do then I choose decaf coffee. However, as the kids were learning new, more challenging things and I was NOT the one teaching them (the kid wrote the song, so he showed them - proudly) I was just there by the drums and a pot of coffee. Entirely my own fault. :) Oh, and my body is more and more back to normal. And JP - I am NOT a lawyer! LOL:

Have a great day and good luck with the meeting. I keep all my coffee intake to the hours before lunch. Also, what you eat in the evening can affect your sleep, but that varies for everyone I think. For me, I like to go to bed just a little hungry after a light and early evening meal. I usually sleep really well then.

:-( I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight - it sucks, when you are laying awake thinking of work. Re alcohol - I am Soooooooo cheap to take out now. A couple of drinks and I am tipsy - sometimes even one drink will do it (depending on what I have eaten that day).... It used to take half a bottle + of vodka to do that before! Much better for my health - I tend to drink water of diet tonic in between drinks.... But to be honest, am not that bothered about alcohol now :-)

Morning buddy..so sorry you had a bad night..I have woke up during the night pondering on something and haven't had coffee in the evening..and as for alcohol..I get a big buzz on one beer..LOL..I think as we get older..(and I am not saying your old)..thay our bodies can't handle the stuff like when we were younger...also it very well could be that you are half the size you were..notice I didn't half the man you were...LOL..Have a great day and hope you get some much needed rest tonight...:O)

Sorry for the crappy sleep-I hate that!! However, I have a trick as I regularly have issues in getting to sleep. I sit for a few minutes and play sudoku or read, either on actual paper or in electronic form. It gets my brain to focus on something totally away from my life, and then when my eyes start fluttering or I wake up with my phone in my hand and my fingers still touching the sudoku board, I put it away, turn over and sleep. Relegating caff beverages (including decaf) to the early part of the day is also important. You have some SERIOUS stamina if you still get thru everything you have planned after work today! Good luck and hope you find your sleep!!

I love your "I'm thankful fors" and I love when people stop to be thankful for the little things :-) I hope it's a good package too!!

kingkeld, I thought of you today! I got a stinkin' chocolate craving, so I bought a dark chocolate bar... ate two thirds of it & though WWKKD? (What would kingkeld do?) hahaha, needless to say I tossed the 1/3 that was remaining. It satisfied a horrible chocolate craving that hopefully won't resurface for awhile!! I've been dying to try kinect, workout vids do get so boring for me. I have Wii, but have the same problem - the only time I even think about it is in the wee hours of the night or early in the morning, not the time to disturb lol. Good luck with the meeting, hope it went well for you. Have you tried decaf? People are always encouraging me to take the leap but I have yet to try it. Decaf tea is nice though, chamomile, nice & relaxing. Have a great workout & a wonderful day!!

Ha ha ha that's brilliant Katiekinz - WWKKD? Love it!

Happy to see you're down again- fingers crossed that you're right about the forthcoming drop! Watching a whole movie at the gym is HUGE motivation. When I want a more low key workout, I love to watch tv episodes or a movie on the iphone when I'm on the elliptical. You'll keep going just to watch more! Same with audiobooks, once I get into something- especially a mystery-thriller type book.

So great that you see purpose in your job. What a great feeling. Kudos to you on revamping your meal plans to make room for a craving and still staying within your RDI! That is awesome. Now wonder so many, like Kateikinz, are asking "WWKKD"? ;)

Don't forget...chocolate has caffeine, too. Combined with all that coffee, it's not surprising you slept poorly ;) I, too, enjoy reading your "blessings"! Especially when so many are so negative and miserable.
