I know i need more exercise i tried going to the gym they said i exceeded the weight limits of the machines and they did not want me there. It was planet fitness. Walking is good and free, and I'm sure ding as well as you are with your bowling balls you'll be able to add to the distance gradually. In the meantime, how about swimming or cycling? Both non impact, so much easier on your joints, and even just walking up and down the pool is great exercise and will stand you in good stead for your land walking too. You can get waterproof mp3 players to distract you, and lots of places have sauna/steam/spa pools too that you can relax in afterwards. Hoping luck with your efforts and keep up the good work, shame on that gym that rejected you!

I agree!Walking in the water takes the weight off of you knees, and takes more force to move as you walk. You will be able to walk easier, but coming out you'll notice your weight more for a short time. And a water aerobics class is great after you walk for a few weeks.

Agree with both suggestions. Consider that with the "bowling balls" you're packing, a half-mile walk IS a lot of exercise for you. Build up gradually, and maybe you can walk 1/2 mile twice a day instead of trying to increase how far you walk at a time. Keep up the good work!

I really like your articulation. Explaining the weight in bowling balls is brilliant. If you can, go to the YMCA and take a water course. The water will take the pressure off your joints and help your movement. I'm sending a friend request. You inspire me!

Great Suggestions. Much easier on the knees and can get the arms moving too.

If you are sticking to a good eating plan and walking the half mile, the weight should drop off.The more you lose the further you will be able to walk.I started with exercising on a chair and graduated from there.Alot of us morbidly obese have found that weight loss is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise.Wish you the best on your journey!
