LaraStar's Journal, 07 August 2011

Had a very stressful week but managed to plan and prepare all meals from scratch. Only did one exercise session though. I got a new Wii fitness game and enjoyed step areobics so much that I did a full hour. Will do another session today and back to 5 times next week! The weight is coming off, 154 lbs today but not official weigh in day.

Thanks ladies. Skinny...Game is "EA Active more workouts". All new challenges including HIIT and step aerobics...I'm addicted! So much fun you just want to keep going. It took me ages to choose a new game as the reviews on amazon are mixed. I suppose some people find faults with everything. I have made a good choice, can really recommend it. Ninjapanda...do you know anything about the MMA workout dvds and games? There is one for Wii but it looks lethal!

LaraStar I have the EA sports active "personal trainer" wii game - your one sounds more fun - I love step aerobics, the one on wii fit plus, is a bit boring now - is the one on your new game more fun and varied?

See....to me when you say lethal it makes me wanna do it more! haha. Yes i'm a freak i know. However i would suggest researching it a bit more too. Here are some articles on it. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/118/1180274p1.html http://gamerfitnation.com/2011/06/ufc-personal-trainer-xbox-360-review/

roar ok! nvm check out ign and gamefitnation for the ufc personal trainer reviews. Seems like for the most part its pretty good and will get you to sweat but its kinda repetitive and doesnt correct your movements apparently. And as a fan of technical movements that bothers but still it seems good overall.

Skinny...More Workouts is similar to Personal Trainer but better. I have joined the 60 day challenge with different workouts everyday. The exercises are all new and a lot more challenging but then I went straight to the "hard" setting. In step aerobics you do leg kicks, curls, knee ups and I can definitely feel it in my legs the next day. So apart from cardio it gives your legs a good workout too. It also strengthens your core muscles. Ninjapanda...lol...lethal! But I know what you mean, the fitter I get the more I want to push myself. I will check out more reviews but I don't often find them very useful. A lot of people complain about stuff that doesn't bother me. One to keep an eye on!
