So yesterday was a crazy day! Our lawnmower died a tragic death on the 3rd and we had been hunting through FB market place to replace it with a used one. Hubby went to kick the tires on about 4 different ones that claimed "runs good" and "ready to mow" only to discover that the $600.00 to $1200.00 price range mowers were NOT ready to mow without a significant amount of work being done on them. The one that " runs good" was referring to the engine, it did run, but the deck was completely wiped out and it needed 3 tires....LOL. I am amazed at peoples' descriptions of the stuff they are trying to sell. Anyways, we took our 1200.00 bucks to a retail outlet and paid down on a new lawn tractor. Had to sign papers on the other $2500.00 (OUCH!!) and wait for it to arrive, which was supposed be yesterday morning. We went to pick it up and we were told it had been mistakenly delivered to the wrong store and they were going to go get it and deliver it to us by 4. We made it back home in time for me to jump into my work clothes and run out the door to work. I had nothing to eat for breakfast, no time for lunch and when I got home at 5:30 they were just arriving with the lawn mower. There had been some sort of altercation with the manager of the other store, she would not let her mechanics touch it to get it ready for delivery because it was not her inventory, so there was much back and forth between the stores, then the home office was called in on it. Anyways, it got delivered to us, still in the crate and we helped the two mechanics that arrived at our house around 6 to get it set up and ready to mow. Hubby insisted that he at least get the front of the house done so our dogs were not having to navigate through high grass to do their business. It was so hot and sticky out there that both of us were soaked when we called it done for the day. I felt parched and it was after 7....a time when I am supposed to stop all intake. I chugged water, I grabbed the small watermelon that we had chilling in the fridge and cut it, scooped out two cups and just saturated myself with ice cold watermelon. It was soooooo good and it was way over my daily carbs. I just called it dinner and left it at that, we did not have the energy to prep any other food anyway. At least it was a whole food I ingested instead of ice-cream which is what I would have consumed in my previous incarnation. So my macro's got skewed, but I'm still way under my RDI in calories, but I noticed a bit of bloating which is the water attaching to the glucose, but it will subside. I did not go off the rails and chuck everything just because my day did not go as planned!
