after some experimeting, I came to the conclusion that i have a salt addiction. salt acts as nature's antidepressant according to scientists at the University of Iowa (my alma mater). If I just eat salt, I don't feel hungry at night when I usually crave (what I thought i craved) CARBS - but no it was salt i was craving. I tried drinking beef boullion as a substitute and that works pretty well.
So I am trying to go all day with next to no salt so I can satisfy the craving at night when I am working.
