daisies4me's Journal, 23 April 2015

Hi all,
I'm glad to be here with you all! I'm on a vlcd because my stomach is paralyzed, and any excess weight means great pain for me. Right now I have seven pounds to lose, which to many of you might not seem like much, but pain is pain, right? I tried once to be on another forum, but the members there became angry with me because my weight loss needs were, to them, not as significant as theirs. I hope you all won't feel that way.
I cry daily for the pain, and there is no cure for this disease. I pray we'll find comraderie on the weight loss and weight management journeys together.
🌼

Thanks for being supportive! I hit my target yesterday of 650 calories and feel better already. I decided to aim for daily nutritional requirements and not caloric requirements, and it's working great. My energy is already improving. I'm getting 40-45 G protein a day, all my veggie requirements via juicing, and making my own yogurt out of coconut milk to keep the sugar count down (lactose). I'm sooo excited! This morning I didn't have pain. Whoop whoop!

There are many on here who have already reached their goal. This is a great community and source of support. Good luck!

Daisies welcome! Yes we all have different needs on here and support is the one we share. Like someone said, the buddies that are maintaining, like my sister Kristin and Snezica, are the most helpful because they give us hope that we'll be able to do the same when we hit our goal. So yeah, 7 pounds, great. I have 20 to go and I've been hovering there for 6 months. I'm eating kind of like you now, all plant except for a couple of eggs and I feel great. Just keep us informed of how its going. We're all learning.

I don't have any sisters - lucky you! Fortunately, my mom (in her 70's) has diabetes and also eats pretty much like I do: low carb, low fat, low fiber, low cal. I'm low density, too.
