I don't know about this whole number crunching hiatus. I got tired of counting calories a few days ago and decided to try something like intuitive eating for a week or so to give my brain a break. The way that works is to eat only when you get a physical hunger signal (which for me is at my normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner times anyway), and eat until you're satisfied, but not full. I'm not counting the calories, but I don't think I'm eating enough. I'm weighing myself in the mornings and my weight is dropping fairly quickly... maybe faster than I'm comfortable with. If it keeps dropping that fast I'm going to go back to counting sooner than I expected to because I'm afraid a rapid loss like that would mean I'm losing muscle instead of fat.

In random news, I'm dog-sitting for my karate teacher starting on Sunday while he's on vacation. Then I'm house/dog sitting for my parents while they go on vacation. No fair. Everyone gets to go do super-mega-awesome-fun stuff without me. Blarrr.

Also... I finished season 2 of Dexter last night. I'm officially an addict. That show is amazing. If you can handle a little bit of gore (the show is about a serial killer) you should definitely check it out. It's too bad I don't have Shotime. I'm watching the show on DVD which is probably running a year behind what's already been shown on TV. I think I'm going to go buy the books by Jeff Lindsay the show is based on after work today.

Dexter is awesome! I watched the beginning of season 3 and it is awesome. Lots of shockers and cliff-hangers. You'll love it. That's one benefit of working for the cable company. I get Showtime (and everything else on TV) free. Haha. Do you like vampires/werewolves/shapeshifters/witches/stuff like that? If you do, then you should check out True Blood. It's a little slow at first, but I love the show.

Someone at work keeps mentioning that to me. I added it to my Netflix since Dexter season 3 doesn't come out on DVD/Blu-Ray for another month and a half.

Good. I think you'll like it. The 2nd season is only 2 episodes in and already it's blowing my mind!

The books are better than the series and I love the series! OMG True Blood is my guilty pleasure, I NEVER miss it! The opening credits alone are worth watching. I am frenvious re: rapid weight loss. I know, I know it may not be a good thing to lose weight that fast but a girl can dream!

Heya. If you take a look at my weight history you'll see the rate that I'm losing at. I think we're approximately the same body type (based on your picture) and I can definitively say that I'm putting on a good chunk of muscle. I'm maintaining or increasing my maximum lift weights, though they are not going up as quickly as they used to. I think that as long as you go for intensive workouts at the gym you'll maintain your muscle at the minimum. As an aside, if you want fun TV check out Futurama. Great show, and they will be releasing new episodes for it (on either Comedy Central or the SciFi channel) soon.

So you don't get to go on vacation, but look at it this way; you still get super awesome bonding time with random dogs! :D I know how you feel about Dexter and being way behind. I'm still on season two of 24 :(

Have you seen "Dead Like Me"? I got hooked on it, watched seasons 1 and 2 through Netflix. It sounds like it might be right up your alley. Its about a girl who dies by getting hit in the head from a toilet seat that falls from an old space station and becomes a grim reaper.
