I don't know about this whole number crunching hiatus. I got tired of counting calories a few days ago and decided to try something like intuitive eating for a week or so to give my brain a break. The way that works is to eat only when you get a physical hunger signal (which for me is at my normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner times anyway), and eat until you're satisfied, but not full. I'm not counting the calories, but I don't think I'm eating enough. I'm weighing myself in the mornings and my weight is dropping fairly quickly... maybe faster than I'm comfortable with. If it keeps dropping that fast I'm going to go back to counting sooner than I expected to because I'm afraid a rapid loss like that would mean I'm losing muscle instead of fat.
In random news, I'm dog-sitting for my karate teacher starting on Sunday while he's on vacation. Then I'm house/dog sitting for my parents while they go on vacation. No fair. Everyone gets to go do super-mega-awesome-fun stuff without me. Blarrr.
Also... I finished season 2 of Dexter last night. I'm officially an addict. That show is amazing. If you can handle a little bit of gore (the show is about a serial killer) you should definitely check it out. It's too bad I don't have Shotime. I'm watching the show on DVD which is probably running a year behind what's already been shown on TV. I think I'm going to go buy the books by Jeff Lindsay the show is based on after work today.
