debrafrederick's Journal, 22 October 2014

Good Morning! I made it through another fasting day, the only issue I had is when I cooked dinner for my husband and the smell of it made my stomach start roaring. I drank a couple of glasses of water and that shut it up. I live with one of those guys who can eat whatever he likes and not gain any weight. I also have an extremely keen sense of smell and my nose can smell food cooking from a mile away. My neighbors up the hill are about a mile from me and I can smell bacon and potatoes frying and biscuits baking. They are farmers so they have the traditional eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and taters or grits for breakfast. Saturday nights around here are especially challenging as the air is permeated with the smells of grills, smokers and the occasional low-country boil or pig roast. Really sets off food cravings for me, but at least it's a meat craving which can be satisfied with little overload for me :)

Ya'll have a great day!

I'm probably more than a mile away and just your description of the neighbor's cooking is making me hungry! ;) Stay strong Debra.
