Does rapid weight loss cause severe muscle aches?? It has been very difficult to move my arms due to pain. Can’t lift my bike onto the rack, so I haven’t biked for a few days.
I’m not trying to starve myself. I simply lost interest in food. My daily intake has been around 800 calories but well balanced. I don’t feel sick; I actually feel pretty well. Just achy.

Mariel, maybe you are right. I’ll add more water then. I am a nurse, and as you know we tend to avoid hydration in order to reduce the bathroom trips.

Never heard of or experienced caloric restriction causing muscle aches, even when fasting, which is not to say it ain't a thing. I have had several ache bouts recently caused by restarting lifting after a significant layoff, surprise medication side effects, and the vaxx. Feel you. Rest up and be well!

I agree about dehydration symptoms. Might consider some electrolyte replacement via Gatorade, G2 Gatorade is no sugar which my husband drinks (he’s diabetic II).

Thank you everyone for your valuable insights. I will watch the electrolyte intake and will see if it improves anything. Have a wonderful holiday!! xoxo 😘

I'm not sure but it might. If your not getting enough caloric intake to fuel your body your body will rob what it needs from your muscles. Try hydrating more, turmeric and multivitamins, magnesium and protien supplements...

I only have muscle aches when I use them or over-exert them. Otherwise, could be your joints, bones, or nerves? YOu should google your symptoms or see you physician A.S.A.P.

Ms Meta, I do think it’s nerve related. There is not much them physicians could do about that :( They would just order x-ray and gabapentin in the most perfunctory manner.... Thank you for your insight. I’m doing a little better this afternoon.

Yup they did a bone scan on me and xray and a neuropathy test everything was negative and I came out with an rx for gabapentin just as you said no way am doing that doing yoga cbd oil and lotions instead🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Oh Tr3vi, that’s a tough one. I’m so sorry. One thing I like about this community is that I learn a lot about the struggles people go through. I am an RN with >20yrs of experience, but I cannot say that I understood anything my patients experienced. Having to lose weight and reading these postings on this site really humbled me. I’ve been reading your journal and you taught me a lot. I thank you for that.

That's ok I'm grateful to still be here though. I followed back because I can sure learn from you. I'm not an RN yet but I have 15 yrs of healthcare experiences in multiple roles it's tough and I did not relate to my patients until I got sick myself and now with aging even worse.

🤣🤣 Tr3vi, you are too young and beautiful to be thinking about aging!! I don’t know why, but somehow I knew you worked in healthcare. I guess we can always tell.
