BuffyBear's Journal, 06 February 2014

Today is my planned indulgence day (DH coming home tonight). My splurge will consist of a big bowl of white chicken chili (with cheese and sour cream on top) eaten at 8 PM tonight.

I am now working on weekly averages. This means that if I eat 600 extra calories today, I'll have to eat 100 calories less rest of the week so my weekly total will average out. Knowing this limits my Thursday night pig outs to a bare minimum!

Got to run - late for work!

Just promise you won't freak out tomorrow if the extra salt holds onto an extra pound of water. It's only water, remember that.

Tracy - I sure will! And hope your day gets better.

msmole - Great point! Sometimes you just have to ignore the scale. I don't plan to weigh myself again until Sunday.

Watching you too with your diet. What happened to the basic diet and lose programs? My grandmother did TOPS. But glad there's something out there for everyone to try if one does work. You're doing well. Keep up the good work. Now, if I can get rid of the last 9.

Chicken chili sounds Very Tasty Indeed! Basically I have been following the Law of Averages plan also, allows for some wiggle room on the weekend when I need it!

ClassicRocker - I think there are more diet programs than there are dieters - LOL. As you may know, I am kind of a health nut, and I lost my first 30 pounds just eating healthier (low glycemic). Then I hit a serious stall so I tried lowering the carbs. That worked for a while, but then I stalled again. So I cut calories, but found that too painful. Then I discovered the 16:8 program! So I am doing low glycemic, low carb, low calorie and 16:8. Have fun keeping track!

gg-girl - Don't know why I never thought of averages before now. Maybe too obvious? Anyway, thanks to Draglist they are now a part of my program. Oh - ClassicRocker - please add averages to the above list!

Ruth - Am trying a new recipe for the white chicken chili. All the ingredients get thrown into the crockpot so it will be all ready for me when I get home tonight.

Sounds like a plan! When you're dancing at your goal weight, you'll have quite the "diet" book to write! You'll have to open a bank account in the Caymans!

Sandy - You are too funny! But I'd better not spend my money before I get those royalty checks!

Draglist - Good to know, because there are certainly some days that are much more "diet friendly" than others!
