kingkeld's Journal, 25 January 2014

Good morning!

It's SATURDAY! Wife is home, and we're gonna enjoy the time together.

This will be a short journal, just a quite "touch base" kinda thing.

1. It went well with the doctor. I'm on sick leave at least another week. This is mostly to give my heart rest, but he's hearing me loud and clear on the stress too. It's essentially up to me if I want to take a longer sick leave and try to deal with the stress. I'm still debating.

2. Work still has no clue of the damage they're doing to me. I now have to come in for a meeting with my leader the very day after my heart shock, and after the doctor has said that I need to NOT stress. Brilliant. :/

3. Denmark is frozen. It's gonna be SO cold to go walk today, so I won't. I'll spend some time on my stationary bike instead. It's good exercise, but I don't like that I don't get my steps in.

4. 21,000 steps yesterday! 1400 calorie deficit! Now, this is NOT what I need to be doing. I need to be at a 500 calorie deficit, or I will lose muscle. Some HAS to be compensated today. That's probably not a bad thing. I could use an indulgence day.

5. Because of #4, I have decided to just eat to maintain weight today. It gives me a nice, high RDI. I will still have full focus on getting enough protein, fat and fiber. Don't worry, there'll be PLENTY of carbs. LOL.

6. Pretty lousy weigh-in today. I might be down in physical weight, but I'm up in fat, down in muscle.

...

Today's I'm thankful for:
- Wife! She's an amazing support.
- Morning coffee!
- Weekend!

Have a great weekend! Life is good!

:-( on the meeting, just after your heart shock... Really bad timing. Hope it gets sorted soon x

Would it be possible to talk to your union rep and reschedule your meetings? As Skinny1future said, bad timing.

My plan is to call my doctor Monday morning and ask him whether the timing of this meeting is good or bad. I'm pretty sure he tells me that I should go, but I'm hoping he'll want to delay it. We'll see. I just don't want my heart to screw up any further. It'd be nice to have it running smoothly. I can tell that it hasn't been too "happy" with recent events. :/

Hmmmm! ... so, let it all go and try to relax. Eat healthy ... nourish your mind and your body. Less stress on both. :)

Your health has to come before anything. I know that's easier said than done. I gave up my career as an R.T. when I had my youngest daughter. I don't live fancy, have a tiny house, OLD used car, but the choice at the time, was worth it. I wish I had kept my license as I would love to do it now, but I believe God directs me down the right road--LOL. Is it possible for you to change your job or the area that you're in (so you don't have the same boss)? See if you can get your Doctor to give you a note to reschedule your meeting. Your still exercising and doing great!

I tend to agree with Draglist. Maintain and let everything work itself out.

I hear you. Both for the reasons mentioned, but also other reasons.
