Good morning!

This morning's weigh in was done VERY early - at 2:30 AM, and thus is not completely comparable to the usual ones. I'm still gonna register it, though, just wanted to put a little "disclaimer".

You see, I'm up almost a kilo. It's been Indulgence Day, but I really did "kinda" good.

The reason for the "kinda" is that I stayed within the calorie allowance, but I didn't make ANY smart choices. :)

It's okay, though. I know that there is NO fat gain, but it's all water, and food in my system.

Yesterday's food choices were simple:

1 Pizza.
1 large bag of candies

I enjoyed both thoroughly.

The end result was 2500 calories spent. Just where I am supposed to be.

The DOWNSIDE is that there was WAY too many carbs, which made me retain water. There was nowhere near enough protein, which made me feel unsatisfied. Something to remember.

Still, it was a good day.

I see the 900 gram climb in calories, but I also see a 3.4% drop in body fat, and a 1% drop in visceral fat. It's not a bad weigh-in at all. All these numbers go hand in hand, and it's clear to me that the radical number changes just signal that it was a day of eating too much food, with no actual damage. I can totally live with that.

And again, this weigh in is several hours earlier than I'd normally weigh in, and this makes a huge difference in my weigh-ins.

...

Today, it's gonna be easy to do good.

The biggest "issue", if we can call it that, is that I can't go walking. It looks like the fall season is coming to Denmark, and it's raining hard. Boo. I think I'll spend 30-45 minutes on my stationary bike instead, just to burn some calories.

The upside is of course that I get the calorie burn without going outside. The downside is that I don't get a step count for it - and I really like having a good step count. :)

Maybe I'll go walking later in the day, if the weather clears up. I'd like that.

THis morning's "exercise" will be rehearsal with the band. We're still prepping for the concert on the 28th, and have a few things to work out. The music is ready, we just need to figure out final set lists, gear needed and stuff like that.

Food wise, it's a walk in the park again. I will be out all morning, and thus have other things on my mind than food. I'll bring one of the delish new protein bars, "waste" 400 calories on it and up my protein intake in case I get hungry. I probably don't.

I will be home around noon, and then of course won't have too much more to do today. Today is "relax day", and we have no plans. It's really the only time this week where I truly have no plans. I want to keep it like that.

I just don't want to get into the foods if there is only TV for rest of the day. I have plenty of fruit around, so the trick will be to get into this if I want to eat. This, and to make absolutely sure I get enough protein today. I will need it for the Monday morning workout. This is important for my mission.

And, of course, enough protein will make me less prone to make dumb food choices through the day. And, of course, I have more protein bars and shakes if I need something sweet. There really shouldn't be any problems making it through the day within my allowance and while reaching my goals.

It's gonna be such a fun day!

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Waking up early, getting ready for the day!
- Morning coffee!
- Wife being up with me!
- Catching up on taped shows this morning!
- Band rehearsal! Rock on!
- Safely through Indulgence Day!

Have a great Sunday! Life is good!

Keld, when you talk pizza, do you mean you eat the "whole" pizza or a slice? A pizza here can measure up to 18" across.

Pizza here is something like 12"-13", I think. I weighed them at some point - a "normal" one is something like 600 grams - and they clock in around 1600 calories on average - one with some veggies and meat. They are large enough that two could share one pizza, but people rarely do. It's probably illegal to do so. ;)

Flashing back to the days when hubby and I used to share one of those 18" pizzas with a couple of pitchers of beer. Fond memories. And for a 12-13"... I would have cut your hand off if you tried to share it.
