so it won't let me record a new entry ----

So what is the scientific cause of the plateau phenomenon? Whatever it is, it's heinous. Regardless, I beat it.

It feels so good. I feel amazing. I ran 3 miles today and did some cursory lifting.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, finally.

50+ lbs seemed like so much. I'm only 6 lbs away from being able to say "this is the lowest I've ever been"

however there MUST be body comp things going on because right now, at 196, I am wearing a 34.

Muscularly I am still scrawny, but I can only fry one fish at a time.

On that note, I have discovered a love of sea food. Most pasta restaurants offer good sea food which can be ordered with a salad and a veggies on the side, so there is no reason you can't take a significant other out to such a place. Just avoid the bread. Write it down.

I am planning something big for when I hit 190. One of those phases where I will be really shedding. I'll keep the details until I embark on it.

Good luck to you guys!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you have it all figured out! You are doing so great and are such a motivation to me! I am so stuck and hate going to the gym now a days, but when I read your posts it makes me want to dive back in! Thanks! Your reward system sounds like a great plan also, definitely something to keep in mind! I have 10 more lbs to go and it is tough, but maybe if I set a goal for myself I will get there! Keep up the great work!
