Farfelu's Journal, 22 April 2013

OK so I made it through 3 days of the plateau busting diet. It was not a huge success. So now the folks at the diet center want me to go on a AMP diet. today was a protein day and tomorrow starts the new deal which will go for 7 days. It is for people who are having a tough time breaking through plateaus.
I am going to let them do the planning and thinking and do whatever they say. After all, this is what they do.
We shall see what we shall see......

Thanks so much - I read your journal and wanted to respond again but I was at work when I saw it. I had wanted to say how proud of you I am! I too wrestle with eating really fast. I think for me it is part of my food addiction - I get "desperate" and it makes me dive in like it's my last meal! You have learned a wonderful skill the art of slowing down. I hope I can emulate that. Take care, Maggie

Good luck my friend! The problem with a margarita is that they often put sugary mixers like "sweet and sour" in it. If the lime juice is freshly squeezed, NOT "Roses lime juice" you can get a fairly innocuous drink. I said all this because I have the PERFECT recipe - designed not by calories but by taste but just happens to have pretty low numbers, relatively speaking. The problem is most bars won't do it for you. But at home you can have the best margarita EVER. Here goes: One part lime juice, one part triple sec (or if you're a high roller, Grand Marnier) and then two and a half parts tequila. Pour over ice and it is honestly the best ratio ever. There are calories in alcohol, but no carbs. There are sugars in Triple sec but much less than mixers....... You won't be able to use this info tonight but I thought you might like to know. If you don't really care for margaritas pass the info on to your assistant. It is a wonderful, but simple recipe. Again - best of luck!
