Week 42 Maintenance Calorie Trajectory ~ I know, I know this is a bit late in the game to be posting. But, better late than never. Activity is always so high in the summer times here. And, with a little kitty in tow, those still spaces in between become sparse. But, work is quiet and I figured it may not be Sunday, but Wednesday will do. Especially, after I just finished a nice big scone!

I've definitely been making the effort to increase carbs and even cut back a tad on protein. I'm not increasing the cals anymore and part of this is because I will need to decrease them when September arrives. I don't want to have to decrease too many cals, because it's too easy for this mind to think it's going into a deficit rather than simply adjusting to a decrease in activity.

However, I can definitely afford to increase the carbs. And, what a tasty addition it's been. Last week, I was actually able to fit in one of the chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies AND chocolate cupcake. And, today we had a nice big scone (I LOVE SCONES). It really has helped to situate the higher calorie days on my workout days. I feel appropriately fueled and not so gassed out afterward.

It's safe to say I'm officially a size 6 now, but I'm not getting rid of the size 8's. They may come in handy for fall and winter.

But, right now I'm really focused on exercise gains, incorporating new exercises, and setting new PR's in my workouts. Come September, I'm going to increase resistance on the recumbent bike to 17 on the interval program for 45 minutes. After I get the weight rack up, I want to purchase the adjustable weight bench and start practicing modified tricep dips. I think a new set of resistance bands will be needed soon and sometime next year, I want to get a row machine :-). I just received my 8 lb ankle weights yesterday and at some point will be graduating all floor exercises to that poundage.
