Weight graph is going down again - week is off to a good start!

I'm planning to visit some specialty stores (thanks for the motivation Heather). Was curious if anyone had ever used Nori Sushi Wraps in place of bread for sandwiches? If so, please let me know what you think.

Have also made a list of seasonings, etc. to keep menus from getting boring. This is as important for myself as it is for DH because we eat about 90% of the same food.

Today I am thankful for variety! We have only scratched the surface of what the earth has to offer.

Impressive, Buffy. You are doing so amazing. We use the Nori (Kim in Korean stores), either roasted as snacks or my bf uses them to wrap his rice. He cuts a package of sheets in four and picks up his rice the way that middle eastern people pick up their food with bread. Keep us informed with your variety choices. I love to hear/try new things. Have a great day.

Buffy I've been doing my food shopping in several places lately, which gives more variety. Couple of natural food stores, and Hy-Vee which has more specialty foods now. Basic stuff I still get at Wal Mart because it's cheapest. Variety is the spice of life :)

Heather - Thanks for the comments! Now I have got to try them - although given their color this may be one thing DH will refuse to try - LOL.

Notfast - you are so right! I have got to get out of this "same old meals" rut.

You could try rice paper wrappers instead of nori? Nori has a distinctive taste whereas the rice wrappers don't taste of much, but they do hold the filling together in the same way :) The nori is also more brittle than the soaked rice wrappers. The nori is great for sushi though!
