Too much snacking late at night, got me again. I do pretty good during the day but have problems at night...

When I started this eating habit change, I too had issues with night over eating or other bad ideas, I decided that 7 pm was the last hour I should eat, as eating and going right to sleep is not very healthy, and made lunch my richest meal and dinner my second richest to avoid cravings.

@John10251 Nights are the toughest. Usually, I'm more bored than hungry so I crunch on ice cubes.

Difficulty with nights seem to be a trend- I know I too feel the hurt from the snacking! I agree with Monkitita about setting an official hour that you are not going eat past...and then as Scalewatcher3 does, maybe past that hour if you get hungry chew on ice cubes or make ice cubes out of crystal light or MIO water at chew on them. Tastes good and won't mess up anything!

Nighttime is worse for me, too. Bored, watching TV, etc. tends to make me think of food. I think Monkitita has the right idea.

I can relate to night eating.

Mmmm ice cubes sprintkled with mint or cinnamon no sugar please! yes if you eat two hours before going to bed you burn more calories than if you go right to bed after eating, as digestion is best performed in upright position. Plus the idea of dieting is to reset the body to speed mode and eating right before bed does just the opposite!
Keep making smart choices.
