I was a little anxious yesterday, it was hard to stay strong, last night after dinner I ate in a row 5 chocolates, so I decided to make myself to workout, and after those 40 minutes I was feeling soo good, I did sleep great too, 30 minutes exercise can help you with the stress

After all these months, I trust you to 'eat your fill' then decide your next course of action, and then stick to it. I believe right now, you are filing everything away into your 'memory bank' and you will use all available information in the future. You wanted to know how you would do if you allowed yourself to eat food you denied yourself for months. This is important. You HAD to do this. I believe this is totally normal. I hope you enjoyed the damn croissant, I LOVE those! The mini chocolate chip cookies? Are they REALLY good? If so, I would close my eyes and savor every bite :) Take care!

.. and I am going to give the gym one more 'plug'. It has given my diet/eating new purpose and meaning. It 'ADDS' to me rather than making me constantly have to think about 'LOOSING' weight.

Week ends are my problem! Often we will spontaneously decide to eat out, or the eating schedule gets blown, or some activity overwhelms with visible food and tempting smells. I think I would already have met my goals if I didn't having week ends to deal with. I need a go-to strategy ready every week end. Anyone have an effective one?

@Texasgranny6 - I plan major exercise throughout the day on weekends.

Texasgranny Calorie cycling, you eat less 2 days of the week or 5 days, so you will have extra calories for the weekend. I like to save 4000+ for my weekend, the diet works perfectly for me that way.

OMG Crashtest! That was crazy. Don't you just hate it when you can't stop? Shake it off and get back on your program.

Texasgranny, I usually skip breakfast and lunch on weekends, have 2 or 3 large coffees with HWC instead. Then I don't feel guilty about having a nice, large dinner out; and I don't blow my calorie or macro targets.

definitely you need to remember you are testing your control and right now you need to help yourself have that control. put the cookies out of reach and remember you can do this if you chose to.

You are doing well. I would suggest to either give the cookies away or place them in the freezer for later. You will soon find your balance.

Give the cookies away or throw them out. You know the drill. Get to it!❤️

My trick to help me ration out my treats (cookies, breads, etc) is to put them in the freezer. Since it takes a while for them to thaw, I don't just sneak a few now and then. It has to be deliberate. Now, I don't even think about them unless they're in my food log. I allow only so much of a treat per day and at certain times, and log them ahead of time. Helps me not think about them all day long.

The idea of throwing them away, to me, is giving them power over you. You have the power over them. They do not control you eating them, you control yourself. Make peace with food. Don't be afraid of it.

I find you very courageous to still be able to weight yourself after a non diet day and I truly mean it, when I dont diet I dont weight myself and I live in fear and denial.
I would personally throw them away. I know that sound terribly wrong but I can so much relate with your struggle. Yesterday I had a couple of my favorite chips (Spicy Doritos) and I threw the bag away afer because I knew that if didnt do it I would finish the complete bag.

If I buy what I'm craving I eat it - and I buy more than one and eat everything right away - it's tough! I am working on just not buying it in the first place. Good luck with the new way of eating - maybe once you get the 'newness' out of the way you will be able to control things more.
