What a day I had yesterday! It's amazing what a few extra hours of sleep can do to you!
Yesterday was a great day. It was really busy at work, with a LOT of meetings, interviews and what-have-you, but it was awesome. I learned a lot of new stuff, got to actually apply it first-hand and succeed, and loved it. I even got some comments from co-workers on my high energy level.
I hope I can do the same today. Today is gonna be short and sweet. I go in at 8, have an informational meeting at 9:30 for about an hour, and the rest of the time is basically catch-up time. Nice!
Then I'll meet wife at a local cafe for coffee, and we're gonna go shopping afterwards. Then home for exercise and dinner, and I'm off to rock with the Black Peanut as I always do on Fridays.
Tonight will be a fun rock night. We're getting a new PA system and monitors, and we're gonna test it out tonight. I'll be re-doing our entire sound field - something I love doing. So I'm all excited to do this. There is nothing like getting new music gear!
Oh, and I dropped a whole kg in weight! It's so nice when this happens. I'm still not at a new low, but it's a great feeling still. I have 1.2 kgs to go to reach a new low by tomorrow, and I doubt that I will do it, but I am much better off than the very disappointing weigh-in I had last Saturday. I hope it all behaves so that I will at least be able to weigh in at 77 point something. I really want to be back there again - sometimes I feel that I did reach the goal, but that I no longer qualify to say that. So I want to get back to 77, and a tiny bit lower. Not much, just enough to be able to STAY below. 77 is what I need for my surgery, and 77 is the upper range for normal weight according to BMI. As silly as BMI is, I still think it's a good general indicator of how normal people should be, if we don't look at super muscular people and others that are "different".
Today, I will try to focus on really really doing right on my food intake. I will go low in my calories, but also kind of make it a challenge to reach the 77 kgs tomorrow. I will see to it that I drink a LOT of water, stay hydrated, as it helps me shed water weigth. I will also take an extra peek at what I eat when it comes to the WEIGHT of the meal. Nothing too heavy today, as it takes a little time to go through the system. I know, I know, food processing in your intestines is NOT fat gain/fat loss, but it still weighs you down, and if I want to reach this goal by tomorrow, I need to focus on it. Don't worry, I'm not gonna starve myself, or even go hungry. I have planned snacks for band practice and everything. Just no heavy foods, like the stuff we eat on occasion in our house hold.
Tonight's dinner is baked salmon and mixed veggies - a Friday favorite. It's shock full of proteins, fills up nicely and taste amazing.
So, this morning I am continuing the success from the Styx concert I watched yesterday. This morning it's Journey, another new concert. I gotta say, as much as I think the songs are okay (again, just a casual fan), they are nowhere near the quality I saw in the Styx show. I have gotten my hands on another Styx show, and I was gonna watch it this morning but I opted to wait for another day - simply to have it to be looking forward to! I'm still surprised how great yesterday morning's show was. It's one to watch again soon, that's for sure.
There is nothing like checking out new music! :)
So, after I am done writing this journal this morning, I am off for an in-home bike ride for 30 minutes, to get me going. Then probably just hang out until work time, or possibly going in early and save up a little comp time. I'm not sure if I want to. These days, I feel like I work more than enough, and I really don't want to "waste" my off-duty time there. Then again, I get to take that time off at a later point.
I do try to be there 15 mins early every day. This way I always save up at least a little and it ends up being a full day off for me. Not bad.
Today I am thankful for - Surviving a potentially tough day yesterday with an awesome feeling about it. - FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY! - The outlook of a fun day out tomorrow with Wife. - Having slept reasonably good last night. I did wake up at midnight, but after a quick potty break I came back to bed and fell asleep fairly quickly. - An easy, worry-free Friday at work. - Kitty cat chillin' with me.
Happy friday everyone! Life is good!
PS: Sazy asked how I stand on the operation. I do not qualify for it until April. I need to be "at a stabile weight" for 6 months, which is april 17th (I think). Then I need the evaluation on whether I qualify or not. I am counting on qualifying. :)
