Target weight: 205 Current weight: 203.4
Woo! Below my goal to meet my weight loss for August. Which is good, because I'm sure some weeks will be worse than others. (Example: travelling for a week in May)
Looking to get another bike as well, which should help. It's totally reasonable to have two bikes, right?? This is kinda spurred by two reasons: 1) I can't ride more than 50 miles on my current bike, a hybrid, without my wrists and back screaming and 2) there's a summer bike challenge at work for who can log the most miles. I'm currently in the lead, much to the displeasure of the gearhead guys I work with. And I want to keep it that way. Getting a second bike will provide me with one bike for commuting/errands, and one for long distance/speed. Gonna go check some out at the bike shop tomorrow.
Looking to keep on track this week by logging everything. Every lunch for the rest of the week is going to be at a restaurant due to various customers and vendors visiting, so I will need to make smart choices. Though, the more I've been practicing restraint at restaurants, the easier it is becoming.

Ad yes, of course, two bikes is totally reasonable. You totally earned it, and this is America for God's sake. In my house we have 7 guitars, 3 basses, a mandolin, a banjo, a ukelele, 2 Eb Alto Saxes, an ocarino (WETF that is), and a piano. Resisting drums with the whole of my being...

You definitely need drums to round that all out though.

Learning how to order in restraurants is key. I was traveling for five weeks and eating out constantly. I made it my priority to eat healthy over ease of menu selections i.e. Chicken fingers. I was very surprised to find the wait staff very helpful to accommodate me. I would tell them I am diabetic, but then I couldn't eat any bread or dessert once I used up my favor card. It sure kept me honest on more than one occasion. Ps, I made sure we tipped 20% too for any helpers.

Not giving in. My 13 yo found a pair of sticks somewhere and has decided the world is his drum. That's bad enough. Enioy the new bike.

I have four bicycles. A time-trial bike, a touring bike, a tandem bike and a seldom rode shared bike plus rollers and an trainer that hooks up to my computer. Oh and a double suspension mountain bike. Two bikes is not too many :)

Wow - nicely done this week! What did you do - anything different? Oh, you lost the boyfriend? Less stress?
|
Ha, HCB, getting rid of the excess boyfriend weight must have helped! That, and the fact that it was a perfect week for me. Got exercise every day, tracked everything, didn't have a cheat meal, etc. Not feasible for every week, but definitely something for me to strive for.

OH glad you laughed. After thought was maybe it was a sensitive topic - but it was your wise woman decision. So much easier when we have no baggage to worry over.

Good job, Notelaine! And smart of you to recognize that not all weeks will be perfect -- after all, how many boyfriends can you shed? (Oops, sorry, just could not resist!!) Keep up the good work!!!

lol! No, the ex boyfriend thing is getting much easier. And I'll take this 4 lb loss as a sign that it was the right choice! :D
