I’ve been postponing putting in my weight because I let myself go. Last year mid summer I got real serious about no sweets of any kind. I set a goal not to eat any sweets until Halloween because I knew that would be a hard day to avoid candy.
That day I decided I could have anything I wanted to spoil myself. Some time in September I saw this huge pink cookie in a grocery store and my mind locked on to it… like those cookies were all I could think about.
So on Halloween I popped in to the store and bought the whole package and ate 4 of them throughout the day. They were probably 4-500 calories each.
For the love of God do not do what I did. Somehow that sugar took over my gut and my brain and I just gave up. I stopped counting calories and I started eating like a pig.
February 18 was a turning point for me. I stepped on the scale and it read 236 lbs. I was basically on my way to being right where I started. I made a promise to myself and my maker that I would count calories every day until the 4 th of July. I’ve lost 8 lbs.
I’m going to keep on going.
It’s nice seeing so many people being successful with their weight loss goals on FS. You all are such an inspiration.
228.0 lb Lost so far: 37.5 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I had been hungry all day long until I started staying away from sweets and carbs at breakfast, just having protein and fat. Try it! It has changed my life! Sugar is the enemy! Lol.
