Happy Friday!
I'm a little surprised with my weight loss this week. I've struggled with being hungry/eating more than I thought I should. For the most part everything I over ate was healthy - yogurt, hummus, fruit, etc. but I kept feeling like I needed/wanted more. I also struggled with my exercise. I really feel like I have to push myself to exercise unlike last month when I looked forward to it.
My new elliptical should arrive today. I got a great deal on it at my little hometown Sears store and they even offered to assemble it for me. It is a Nordic Track. My son will pick it up with his pick-up truck and set it up for me. My daughter-in-law wants to take my exercise bike back to their house and see if it is something she can get into. I really don't have enough room for both pieces of equipment or I would have kept the bike to work out on sometimes (oh who am I kidding - I would never choose the bike over the elliptical!)
I'm watching a series called "The Weight of the Nation" on my Kindle. I think it is a HBO series. So far it is quite interesting and motivational. One thing that is a little discouraging is the research that talks about how vigilant people who have lost weight have to be to keep it off. Of course this just reinforces my goal of a lifestyle CHANGE. Not a temporary fix, but a whole change in the direction of my life. I am realizing I have already changed some things. Even this week when I felt hungry (that "just not satisfied" feeling) I wasn't really tempted to go out and eat fast food. I was drawn to more healthy choices. Soda is not even a temptation for me...I still have a lot of work to do, but I can see I've made some real change in my lifestyle.
Make your weekend wonderful! TTFN
