The past 24 hours have been an interesting ride. My sister and I went shopping for a dress that shows my new figure. The A-line dresses were fine when I wanted hide my figure. Now I want to show it off! We found two dresses that fit perfectly. One in size 7/8, the other a Small. OMG! I understand than not all manufacturers use the same size guidelines, but this was a heady experience! Another interesting experience was with tonight's cooking failure. My husband requested a Flan served with fruit. Normally, I'm an excellent, creative cook. I used my Mexican cookbook for guidance. But I guess I made too many "healthy" substitutions. (Egg product for eggs, skim milk and Fat-Free half&half for milk) Something didn't go right. when I turn the flan over onto the plate, something resembling scrambled eggs with syrup poured out all over the serving plate and counter. Gross! I tossed it, and we rummaged the fridge for leftovers. Oh well... Tomorrow will be a better day. Hugs to you all.
