All right, FS friends, here is your mini motivational message on a Monday from me. Today I saw my endocrinologist for the first time in office since Nov ‘19. This is the appointment I have been waiting for since joining here on FS in February. While some lab results have yet to come in (unexplained delay from Quest) so I don’t know how much my cholesterol has improved since May, this was my first encounter with the Dreaded Doctor’s Office Scale and I am thrilled to say this time I faced the enemy and won. (My weight was 1.5 lb. higher, dressed w/no shoes, than that recorded here at home.) I was down 18 pounds since that last office visit, which does not include the 8 lbs. I gained in 2020. Thus a grand total of 26 lb. lost in 22 weeks and the doctor was duly impressed. I carried on about how great this free app is for tracking & planning meals and also about the wonderful supportive community (that’s you all 😍). So I’m just here to say thanks for the umpteenth time because I had no idea how much of a positive impact FS was going to have. To anyone stuck on a plateau or struggling for whatever reason, just please don’t give up. Every loss, no matter how small, is still a loss and puts you that much closer to reaching your goal.
