I am doing low carb and it seems to be working. My weight is going down, it may have been water weight. I am following Atkins strictly. I stopped the popcorn (too many carbs) and vegetables that are high in carbs too. I am limiting fruit for now, I may have one day a week where I go off strict dieting, not sure yet. We only got an inch of snow here the other night, we are about 125 miles northeast of NYC and 95 west of Boston - where I live in Westfield, Mass.

Thanks, Bren. I think it was water weight - who knows? My appetite has greatly decreased since I started getting strict. Popcorn may just have to be avoided till summer - once I get below 210. I am lucky I am 6 foot 2, I am muscular so it is OK, below 220 and I look thin.

heya Glenn I know I have been being a little more attentive to carbs as well and have incorporated water intake lots..and I have dropped a bit of weight as well...and usually the first 5-10 lbs is namely water weight, but its weight none the less..so good job...it must be nice being tall :)

Hi cinderella and Darlene. Yes, it is good being 6 foot 2. I am on mental health meds. I tried a probiotic and I really think as it is a strong one, it helps fill one up in a way, my digestive tract is not screaming hunger all the time. I do have a bit of back acne at 51, I am not on steroids like doctor TV programs say, sometimes meds can cause that. I have to take an antibiotic and it clears it up. I did well today on the dieting. I want to be below 215 by summer, and I think I will get there.

I did OK today, I was a bit down from a slight cold, it is already going away. I had to go for a short walk nearly a mile, so I did OK. I am still doing the low carb and it is going well.
