I have done 2 months of recording so today is the last day. I averaged 1500 calories a day. Lost 3 kgs of lockdown weight. I am now in a whole new world............post full lockdown and post-menopause. I read that women require 300 calories less per day after menopause so I need to work out what that is for me. Not fair!

Are you sure this is not water weight? It took me 3 days to get ride of the extra caused by meals with chorizo , olives and those things.
I notice if I do high sodium meals several days, my weight goes up. But that’s not recordable for me lol
You probably go back to the scale tomorrow and that Is gone as happens to me most of time

I did have a high-calorie day yesterday in general. But I have noticed that about the high sodium foods too. I was 62.2 kg all week and, of course, on recording day I went up!

I am sure if you back on the scale tomorrow you even lost weight apart from that one 🤣
It happens to me

Hope so! Swim day today. What are you training?

So not fair! And losing muscle too. But there are enough inspirational women out there, you included, to show that if you work at it you can stay fit and strong 💪🏻 🏊♂️

Thanks, Janus. I am so lucky in that I really enjoy exercise and the groundwork I did when I was younger.........well it really pays off as you get older so keep going! You won't regret it.

I wasn’t meant to train today because I have a cold and feel rubbish but that question is tempting me 😂
It was meant to be triceps, chest and shoulders .
GO for that swim, watch your food and don’t eat dinner/liquids too late. You will see if the scale is your friend tomorrow 😁

That isn’t anything I’d worry about Anne so many things it could be water retention etc…it’s not even a glass of water not even worth thinking about you’ll be fine

Thanks Mhairi. I am finding the 300 calories a relatable figure, unfortunatly! But it makes sense. The reproductive system is one of these things that trundles away in the background using up calories so once it stops so does the calorie requirement.

The not using so many calories makes sense (unfortunately) would have never have guess that much though ☹️
