Weekly 36-hour fast number 14 complete.
I'm up 0.8 lb compared to the end of fast number 13 last week. This is where I look back and remember with gratitude any of my higher-loss weeks in the past 3.5 months. Also, there's the non-scale victory of finally being able to fit comfortably into a couple of pairs of pants I bought online a few months into the pandemic. :-)
The main factors in my gain this week, assuming it's not an artifact, are probably too many calories early in the week and not curbing that trend soon enough as the week went on. I also kept this latest fast to only slightly more than 36 hours, without a very-low-calorie day preceding it, unlike with recent previous fasts. I'm hoping that my less severe state of depletion means that I'll also experience less of a rebound effect during the coming week.
In the last couple of days preceding this fast I did stay mindful of keeping my carb intake low, and I also made sure to keep my protein towards the high end of my range. I'm aiming to do more of that this week.
Next week's number to reach or beat is 180.8. Onward and downward.
